Qatar Ambassador holds promotional exhibition for World Cup 2022 in Beijing


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the People’s Republic of China H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Dehaimi, recently held a promotional exhibition for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at his residence in the Chinese capital, Beijing. 

The exhibition was attended by H E Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Vladimir Norov, 65 ambassadors from diplomatic missions accredited in China, and a number of opinion leaders and community figures. 

Ambassador Al Dehaimi presented the most important measures taken by the State of Qatar regarding workers’ rights, the most important of which is the abolition of exit visas and the adoption of a minimum wage. 

His Excellency reviewed the Qatari measures to preserve the health and safety of workers during the coronavirus pandemic, provide health care services without exception to all workers, and expand the scope of responsibility of the Workers’ Welfare Unit to include services associated with hosting major events by adopting a comprehensive approach to protect workers in major projects such as World Cup 22 projects.
