IUST Hosts Webinar On The Eve Of International Nurses Day


(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Awantipora- To commemorate the International Nurses Day, Islamic University of Science and Technology organized a webinar with theme '' Nurses a Voice to lead, a vision for future health care''. The webinar organized by Syed Mantaqi Memorial College of Nursing & Medical Technology was followed by two day workshop on Research Methodology which concluded on Thursday.

Speaking during the Webinar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mushtaq A Siddiqi emphasized the role of health care professionals, especially nurses towards are healthcare sector of any society.

Nursing Officer SKIMS, Noorul Amin presented an informative lecture about the COVID''19 pandemic through nurses eyes . He also deliberated upon the role of healthcare professionals especially during the emergency situations like COVID''19.

Registrar IUST, Prof. Naseer Iqbal exphasised the role of nurses to collaborate with a healthcare team to effectively perform treatments and procedures.

While highlighting the importance of the day Principal Syed MAntaqi Nursing College, Ms. Asmat Parveen stressed that health care professionals especially nurses needs to work together to guide, plan, execute and recognize the significance of different types of knowledge that can enhance the ultimate goals of health care: prevent disease, restore individuals to good health and saves lives.
