(MENAFN)About 39 projects valued at 58 trillion rials (about USD1.38 billion) were launched by President Hassan Rouhani in the free trade zones and special economic zones of three provinces via video conference.
The projects operated in Hormozgan, East Azarbaijan, and Qom provinces offered jobs for 5,400 persons.
The development of free trade zones and special economic zones via production, exports and investment is considered one of the goals of establishing these zones in the country.
A number of measures were set in the previous year to obtain the goal, such as attracting innovative and technological units to these areas, and introducing investment opportunities and advantages in these zones.
