China: Increasing income witnessed in alcohol-producing sector in Jan-Nov 2020


(MENAFN) Figures from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed that Chinese key alcohol firms witnessed income increase 8.6 percent annually to 151.53 billion yuan (around USD23.3 billion) during the January-November period of last year.

According to the ministry, the main alcohol producers announced overall proceeds of around USD113 billion in the very period, a rise by 1.2 percent from a year earlier.

Key distilleries witnessed the production of Chinese Baijiu (distilled spirits) hit 6.18 million kiloliters in the first 11 months, a drop by 10.3 percent annually.

The production of breweries declined 6.4 percent annually, whereas that of wine-producing firms climbed 3.8 percent annually in the very period.
