Canadian reconstruction and climate resiliency trade mission to visit The Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas — A ten-member Canadian business delegation will arrive in The Bahamas for the second staging of the Canada-Bahamas Reconstruction and Climate Resiliency Business Forum, to be held virtually from January 14-15, 2021.

The two-day high-level Forum will feature Canadian companies in the clean technologies and infrastructure sectors, meeting with Bahamian public and private sector officials and executives, to discuss potential business opportunities in the reconstruction, adaptation and resiliency efforts in The Bahamas.

The High Commission of Canada, with support from Global Affairs Canada, is organizing the two-day Trade Mission with on-the-ground logistical services provided by Sumner Strategic Partners of The Bahamas.

Accompanying the Mission will be Canadian High Commissioner-designate Emina Tudakovic, who will participate in the opening session of the 30th Bahamas Business Outlook (BBO) conference and later on, formally welcome participants at the Canada-Bahamas Reconstruction and Climate Resiliency Business Forum.

Keynote speakers include minister Iram Dewitt Lewis and minister James Kwasi Thompson. The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation will also deliver remarks and participate in other aspects of the program.

Trade Commissioners from the High Commission of Canada's Commercial Programme will be available throughout the Forum, to provide business development and advisory support.
