"We have focused on the challenges and threats that have an impact on both national and regional security. The stability and security of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova are vital for both countries. In this context, we reaffirmed our mutual and firm support for a peaceful resolution of conflicts based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our countries within the internationally recognized borders. I would like to emphasize once again that the Republic of Moldova decisively and unreservedly supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine," President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu said after signing bilateral documents with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
She praised the sincerity of discussions with the President of Ukraine and expressed confidence that the constant dialogue, which the leaders of Moldova and Ukraine agreed to establish today, is in the national interests of both countries.
Sandu also confirmed the invitation for President Zelensky to pay an official visit to Moldova.
"I hope to see you, Mr. President, again in Chisinau in the near future," the President of Moldova said.
