Israeli army launches series of strikes targeting Gaza Strip


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- Israeli occupation army said, Friday, that it had targeted the Gaza Strip with a series of strikes in response to the firing of two missiles toward Israel.
In a press statement, a spokesman for the Israeli army said that war planes targeted sites belonging to Hamas movement.
He added that the attack came as a response of firing missiles toward Israel, blaming Hamas for the military activity in the strip.
Israeli occupation army announced late Thursday night is that its defense systems had responded to a missile fired from the Gaza Strip, while another missile fell in an open area without causing damage or injury among the Israelis.
In response, none of the Palestinian factions affirmed its responsibility of targeting Israeli settlements near the Gaza Stip. (end)
