Ethiopia's Oromos were not a long time ago unenthusiastic about reflecting their culture and ethnic identity, in spite of accounting for the country's biggest ethnic group.

The fear of being criticized for not abiding to a national identity was one of the reasons that Oromos could go to the extent of averting publically speaking their native language, Afaan Oromo.

It is now being exhibited in fashion the growing political boldness combined with a rising cultural pride between young Oromos.
