Kuwait- Austria records 175 new COVID-19 cases

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, July 31 (KUNA) -- Austrian authorities announced Friday 175 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number in the country to 18,758, amid a recent spike in numbers.
آ In a statement, the Austrian health Ministry said that it had handed out more than 890,000 swab tests.
Recoveries from the virus have reached a total 18,758, while the death toll is unchanged at 718.
آ آ About 100 people are still being hospitalised, with 16 cases receiving care at intensive care units, the statement added.
آ آ Moreover, authorities have recently reimposed the mandatory wearing of masks in supermarkets, post offices, banks, on public transportation and at other commercial establishments after a spike in the number of cases. (end)
