(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 26 (KUNA) -- The Chinese authorities announced Sunday that 46 coronavirus infection cases were recorded during the past 24 hours, including 36 local cases, no deaths recorded.
This brings the total number of infections on the Chinese mainland to 83,830 people, and the total number of deaths to 4,634 people, according to the Xinhua news agency, quoting the National Health Committee (NHC).
It added that the new 35 cases, 22 from them are from "Xingjian" the Uygur Autonomous Region, and 13 cases from Liaoning, while no cases had been registered in the capital city of Beijing, for the 20th consecutive day, nor had any cases been recorded in (Hubei) Province and its capital Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus.
Xinhua said that 11 infections have been recorded from travelers coming to China, five from Inner Mongolia, three from Quangdong, and from Tiangjin, Fujian, and Shandong, bringing the number of infections coming from outside the mainland to 2,045.
It explained that 19 people have left the hospitals during the past 24 hours after their recovery, bringing the total number of people who have recovered until to 78,908, while 288 people are still receiving treatment. (end)
