Saudi- Arab Foreign Ministers Council Concludes 153rd Session in Cairo


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Cairo, Mar 4, 2020, SPA -- The Arab Council for Foreign Ministers concluded here today its 153rd session at the ministerial level.
The session was held under the chairmanship of the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Yusuf bin Alawi in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the session was headed by the Minister of State for African Countries Affairs Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan.
The session discussed various areas of joint Arab action, especially the Palestinian issue and the Arab-Israeli conflict in all its aspects, developments in Lebanon, Syria, Libya and Yemen, Iran's occupation of the Arabian-Gulf-located three Arab islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa affiliated to the United Arab Emirates, security of navigation and energy supply in the Arab Gulf region, in addition to taking a unified Arab stance regarding the Turkish forces' violation of Iraqi sovereignty.
In the context of international political affairs, the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, the dangers of Israeli armaments on Arab national security and international peace, Arab relations with international and regional groups, and support for internally displaced people in Arab countries were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Osama bin Ahmed Nagali, who also assumes Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the Arab League portfolio.
