Hassad posts QR80m net profit in 2019

DOHA: Hassad Food Company, Qatar's premier investor in the food and agri-business sectors, yesterday announced its net profits for the year 2019 which amounted to QR80m, QNA has reported.

The company stated that the current success was achieved after it developed its investment strategy which focused on three main axes: The restructuring of the company's investments that ensures the company's profitability, in addition to developing a platform to support the food security strategy, as well as the establishment of local projects that support food security that are not competing with the private sector.

It is worth noting that during the past period, Hassad Company has acquired proportions in huge projects, the first of which is the investment project in the fisheries sector in Sultanate of Oman, and a project with the Sunrise Foods International, the Turkish Canadian company supplier of organic grains and oilseeds.
