(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) United National Party (UNP) leader, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says he has asked for a winning formula to be presented by anyone wanting to be nominated as the UNP Presidential candidate.
Wickremesinghe says that simply having a large vote base in the UNP will not be enough to win the next Presidential elections.
The UNP leader had expressed these views at a meeting with civil society and trade union representatives today.
Wickremesinghe said that the UNP Working Committee will finally pick the Presidential candidate of the UNP.
