Police official in Bangladesh said that 8 people died and 18 others were wounded as a bus steered off the road and fell into a ditch in Faridpur district in Bangladesh on Saturday.
The accident happened on a highway that connects Dhaka the capital and south Khulna, FM Nasin, officer in charge of Faridpur's Kotwali Police station said.
He said that the bus skidded off a bridge while giving side to a motorbike and fell into a ditch at about 2:00 pm of local time.
He said that "The passenger bus fell into a roadside ditch, leaving five passengers of it and the bike rider dead on the spot and some 20 were injured".
