Regime, Russian air attacks on Syria's Idlib kill 50


(MENAFN) The official death toll from the air attacks conducted by the Russian and Syrian regime forces early yesterday in the de-escalation zone in Idlib province climbed to 50 people, according to the White Helmets civil defense agency.

Russian warplanes hit a marketplace in the city of Maarat Al-Numan in northern Idlib, and caused death to 39 people, including a White Helmets volunteer, sources from the civil defense agency informed Anadolu Agency.

Syria regime fighter jets, in the meantime, targeted a marketplace in Saraqib in rural Idlib, local sources in the field informed Anadolu Agency.

They added that the Assad regime air attacks resulted in the killing of as many as seven people and wounds to many others.
