Bangladesh- Emirates helps Rotary to set up Mother and Childcare centre in Dhaka


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka : Emirates Airline has joined hands with the Rotary Club of Dilkusha to set up a Mother and Childcare Centre at Mirpur, Dhaka. To raise initial fund for the project, the Airline contributed two air tickets- one for Dhaka- New York- Dhaka and other for Dhaka- London-Dhaka, which were auctioned among the participating members of various Rotary Clubs at the Installa-tion ceremony of Rotary International District- 3281, held on July 1, 2019 at the Bangabandhu Interna-tional Conference Centre, Dhaka. The entire sale proceeds will be contributed to the project.
Mohammad Mohijur Rahman, Emirates Sales Manager in Bangladesh formally handed over the air tickets to Rtn. Khairul Alam, newly installed Governor of the Rotary International District-3281 during the Installation ceremony, while Mansoor Al Swaidi, Deputy Airport Services Manager of Emirates was also present on the occasion.
Emirates during the last couple of years has actively been supporting various social and humanitarian activities, undertaken by Rotary in Bangla-desh. Emirates-Rotary joint programmes include tree plantation in Dhaka and nearby villages, supporting unprivileged children in their education and livelihood among others.
