Strengthened beach tourism targeted by Kenyan SGR

(MENAFN) Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) of Kenya is exerting efforts to attract tourism arrivals to the beach along the Indian Ocean.

Expenses required for traveling to the port of Mombasa has been cut thanks to the Mombasa-Nairobi railway line, noted cabinet secretary of the ministry of tourism and wildlife Najib Balala.

Balala confirmed that "since the completion of the SGR, we have seen a surge of local and international tourists visiting the coastal beach of Mombasa."

He further added that the SGR was able to achieve hikes in the number of travel possibilities presented to tourists looking to engage in coastal tours.
