2 car bomb blasts in Somalia's Mogadishu kill 10, wound 26


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Somali police stated that as many as 10 people were murdered and 26 more wounded as a result of two car bomb explosions in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Somali police commissioner Bashir Abdi Mohamed informed reporters that "nine people were killed and 25 others sustained injuries after bomb detonated near Sayidka junction. The security forces were chasing the car after they suspected it," he affirmed.

The police chief affirmed that the second car bomb blasted close to near KM4 junction and caused the murder of the bomber, adding that the security forces detained an accomplice who had sustained wounds.

The explosions came as the police doubled the security efforts in the capital closing the key roads of the city to ward off probable attacks by the terrorists.
