Jordan launches USD200m strategic oil reserves facilities project


(MENAFN) Petra news agency announced that Jordan introduced a USD200 million initiative for strategic oil reserve facilities.

A capacity of 350,000 tonnes will be witnessed through the project which the United Arab Emirates (UAE) financed.

Through the facilities, a strategic reserve of fuel will be available in case of emergencies while the infrastructure of the oil sector will be renovated.

The facilities will also be opening job opportunities for technicians in Jordan.

Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, during the project's inauguration, highlighted the significance of the project as it aims to expand fuel types as well as improving the energy sector.
