(MENAFN) On Sunday, the National Defense Ministry emphasized that a Turkish soldier was killed and five more wounded in a terrorist attack in northern Syria.
According to the ministry statement, a group of terrorists conducted an anti-tank attack in Tel Rifat district.
It added that Turkish soldiers responded with retaliatory fire.
"We offer our condolences to the martyr's family, Turkish Armed Forces, and our nation," the statement affirmed, and wished the wounded soldiers a quick recovery.
