Government follows up on kidnapping incident of Jordanians in Syria

Amman, May 29 (Petra) -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday said that the ministry's operation center is following up on a kidnapping incident that involved two Jordanians in Syria.
The ministry contacted the father of one of the kidnapped, who was informed on the phone that his son was being kidnapped over a financial dispute with a third party who is a Jordanian national living in the Kingdom's northern city of Ramtha, the ministry's Spokesperson Sufyan Qudah explained.
Qudah said that the operation center in the ministry and the specialized authorities in Jordan are following up on the incident with the Syrian authorities through the Jordanian embassy in Damascus.
