(MENAFN) Iran is well able to turn into a leader within the region in the electricity sector, as affirmed Vice President of Iran Electrical Industry Syndicate Payam Bagheri.
"Turning Iran into a regional electricity hub is a legal obligation which has been reiterated in the programs of resistance economy," the vice president stressed.
According to Bagheri, Iran will be capable of fulfilling power demand along with boosting its exports of electricity.
He added: "for this purpose, drastic measures should be taken in this regard in order to materialize most objectives of power industry in the country optimally."
