(MENAFN) Police declared that a man has been shot dead in Merseyside.
Emergency services were urged to the scene in St Helens Linkway at nearly 07:00 BST, where the man died.
Officers are combing the site in Rainhill Stoops, as they confirmed that they were still in the"very early stages" of the probes.
The victim's family has been notified about this tragic incident.
"The public should remain reassured that we are committed to tackling gun crime and will continue to take action to protect our communities whatever the circumstance." according to a Merseyside Police spokesperson.
