(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, May 19 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Police Sunday said they found the location from which a Katyusha rocket was launched and hit Baghdad's heavily-fortified Green Zone, which hosts the US embassy in Iraq.
In a statement to KUNA, a police source said they discovered the launch pad near the technical institute in the industrial area in Al-Rusafa district in Baghdad.
The Iraqi security media announced earlier today that the Katyusha rocket had hit the fortified Green Zone in Karkh near Baghdad without any causalities.
The Green Zone holds the headquarters of the Iraqi government and a number of Embassies including the US and UK embassies. (end)
