Amman, Apr 23 (Petra) –– The Jordan Industrial Estate Company (JIEC) Tuesday signed an agreement with a local contractor to start the fourth expansion project of Al Hassan Industrial City in Irbid at a cost of over JD4 million.
The company said in a statement that the expansion scheme includes dividing the land of the project into 34 plots to meet the various needs of investors, in addition to the implementation of modular plants with an area of ??18,000 square meters, as well as the implementation of infrastructure services for industrial investments.
JIEC Director Omar Jwaid said during the signing ceremony that the new expansion will give a boost to the Al Hassan Industrial City, which accounts for more than 80 percent of the Irbid Governorate's exports, and create more job opportunities.
