Iranian, Turkish banks urged to boost cooperation


(MENAFN) Banks in Iran and Turkey ought to strengthen their collaboration so as to ease bilateral trade between the two countries.

Head of the Central Bank of Iran AbdolNasser Hemmati made the call while speaking to Turkey's Ambassador to Iran.

During the meeting, the central bank chief underlined the great volume of exchanges between Iran and Turkey.

Hemmati added "Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan highlighted the necessity of increasing the level of cooperation, facilitating banking relations, and removing barriers between the two countries."
