Riyadh, April 21, 2019 SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have announced a joint package of assistance worth USD 3 billion to the Republic of Sudan.
The initiative will see the deposit of USD 500 million into Sudan's central bank to strengthen the country's liquidity, ease the pressure on the Sudanese pound and achieve more stability in the exchange rate.
The remaining amount will be dedicated to support the people of Sudan, across food, medicines, and fuel derivatives.
