(MENAFN) Cairo-based Arab League (AL) rejected planning to bring up the return of the Syrian membership during a summit set to be held in Tunisia by the end of the month.
AL spokesman Mahmoud Afifi confirmed "until now, the topic of Syria's return to the AL is not on the agenda and it was not officially proposed by any party."
"But the Syrian crisis is on the agenda," the spokesman further assured in a statement issued on Sunday.
Afifi added that the summit will include twenty matters to be addressed, with the Palestinian cause and the Libyan crisis among them.
