(MENAFN) Comoros commenced its presidential elections on Sunday with citizens of the East African country rushing to cast their ballots.
More than 300,000 eligible voters will be delivering their ballots within 731 polling stations opened across the country.
Thirteen candidates are running for presidency, with incumbent President Azali Assoumani among them.
Meanwhile, 22 candidates are fighting to win the governorship of Grande-Comore, Anjouan and Moheli islands.
