Zimbabwe president Mnangagwa lands at Cuito Cuanavale


(MENAFN- EIN) Cuito Cuanavale, ANGOLA, March 23 - Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa landed Saturday in the locality of Cuito Cuanavale, south-east Cuando Cubango province , to attend the celebration of Southern Africa Liberation Day.,

In Cuito Cuanavale, Emmerson Mnangagwa will, along with other heads of state of the region, participate in the commemorative activities of the 23rd of March, Southern Africa Liberation Day.

The event marks the end of the Battle of Cuito Cuanavale, one of the heaviest battles the has ever experienced. The date is a regional holiday in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The Angolan President, João Lourenço, was the first Head of State to arrive Saturday in the historic region.
