Turkey conducts air attacks against PKK terror targets in N. Iraq

(MENAFN) Turkish warplanes struck PKK terrorist targets in northern Iraq, the Turkish Defense Ministry stated on Saturday.

On Twitter, the Defense Ministry emphasized that the air raid in the regions of Haftanin completely damaged weapon emplacements, shelters and ammunition depots used by PKK terrorists.

In its over 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK - considered as a terrorist group by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU - has been responsible for the deaths of approximately 40,000 people, including many women and children.
