Oman- PACP bans sale of two honey varieties


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) has issued decision to withdraw two varieties of honey from the market.

Dr Said bin Khamis al Kaabi, chairman, PACP issued Decision No 86/2019 to stop the sale of the Royal Golden Wells honey and Shifa honey.

The withdrawal decision is applicable for Royal Golden Wells honey (produced on 1/2/2016 and expiry date 1/2/2021) in cartons weighing 450g and Shifa honey (produced on 1/9/2018 and expiry date 31/8/2023) in glass jars weighing 3kg.

The decision stipulates the withdrawal of all these products from the markets and its destruction in order to protect public health.

Anyone who violates this decision will be punished with an administrative fine in accordance with Article 51 of the executive regulations of the Consumer Protection Law.

The authority urges citizens and residents to report any complaint via 80079009.
