(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, March 16 (KUNA) -- Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AU) Moussa Faki on Saturday called for national dialogue in Algeria to resolve the several-week crisis there.

Faki said in a statement that national dialogue should be adopted by Algeria in order to reach a consensus and carry out reforms that ensure peace and stability in the country.

However, he spoke highly of the peaceful nature of the demonstrations, which reflects much maturity and a high spirit of responsibility of the Algerian people and all concerned parties.
