Beirut airport grounds all Boeing 737 Max from airspace


(MENAFN) Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut banned on Wednesday all Boeing 737 Max models from entering Lebanon's airspace.

Boeing 737 Max aircrafts were banned from landing or flying in Lebanon under the orders of the airport's Director of the Civil Aviation Authority Mohammad Shehabeddine.

The suspension was imposed after witnessing two separate crashes during a five-month period, leaving great fatalities.

The latest incident occurred on Sunday with an Ethiopian plane crashed and resulted in the death of over 150 passengers and crew members.
