(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Consul General of Ukraine has met with Ukrainian community of Canadian province of Alberta and its capital city Edmonton.
Consul General of Ukraine in Edmonton Oleksandr Danyleyko met with the Ukrainian community of Canadian province of Alberta to discuss the areas of interaction and inform about the overseas voting process.
"Consul General of Ukraine in Edmonton Oleksandr Danyleyko met with the Ukrainian community, representatives of the business and political circles of Alberta and Edmonton and discussed with the leaders of Ukrainian non-governmental organizations the areas of interaction, the possibility of implementing joint projects. During the meeting, special attention was paid to the preparation for the presidential election in Ukraine. The attendees were informed about the formation of a polling station at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Edmonton, the peculiarities of the voting of Ukrainian citizens at the overseas polling stations," the press service of the Consulate General of Ukraine in the city of Edmonton reports.
In addition, Oleksandr Danyleyko outlined the main directions of activity and the tasks facing the newly-created Consulate General, informed the audience about the political and economic situation in Ukraine, the actions of the President and the Government of Ukraine in ensuring the progressive socio-economic development of the country, implementation of reforms, combating Russian aggression. The Consul General of Ukraine also touched upon the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-Canadian cooperation in various fields, including at the regional level.
