Turkish FM convicts deadly suicide attack in Afghanistan


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Turkish Foreign Ministry "strongly" convicted a terror attack that was committed in the Maidan Wardak province of Afghanistan earlier on Monday.

The ministry stated in a statement, "We strongly condemn this terror attack. We wish Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives, wish speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the brotherly people and friendly government of Afghanistan".

A total of 50 people - which also contains personnel of the Afghan special forces - were murdered after a suicide car bomb attack struck central Maidan Wardak, located less than 50 kilometers (31 miles) south of capital Kabul.

Taliban announces responsibility for the attack.
