Tunisia's UGTT urges another national strike

(MENAFN) Tunisia's General Labour Union (UGTT) demanded on Saturday the eruption of a new nationwide strike in February.

The purpose behind the two-day strike would be forcing the Tunisian government to listen to the UGTT demand for a raise in salaries.

According to a UGTT chief, the demand for increased wages would be for 670,000 public servants.

During a one-day strike which was launched on Thursday, all rail, bus and air traffic with all services were affected.
