Palestine's Abbas, UN's Guterres to enter talks


(MENAFN) Palestine's leader Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled for next week to enter talks with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York.

The news was announced by Palestine's permanent representative in the UN Reyad Mansour during an interview with Voice of Palestine Radio.

According to the UN official, the Palestinian president will be embarking on a visit to the UN headquarters on Tuesday in order to chair the Group of 77 (G77) and China.

Abbas, the official added, will be addressing a number of matters with the UN chief with a focus on the execution of Resolution 2334.
