Erdogan to meet opposition leader Devlet Bahceli

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahceli, Trend reports citing the Turkish media Dec. 12.

The meeting will take place Dec. 12 at 16:00 (GMT +3).

The parties will discuss an alliance between the MHP and the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) over municipal election.

On Dec. 7, Erdogan said that the alliance between the MHP and the AKP over municipal election will continue.

Erdogan noted that the alliance is necessary and everyone who united forces for the benefit of Turkey understands this well.

Earlier, Bahceli announced the termination of the alliance with the AKP during the municipal election to be held in Turkey March 2019.

The municipal election in Turkey is held every five years.
