Morocco, AU ink deal to set up OAMD headquarters


(MENAFN) Morocco inked a deal with the African Union (AU) on the establishment of an African Observatory for Migration and Development (OAMD) headquarters in Rabat.

Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita penned the agreement with chairman of AU Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat.

The deal was secured on Monday in Marrakech on the sidelines of a UN Intergovernmental Conference on Migration.

Under the Observatory, a key important instrument is to be presented for studying migration and getting hold of dependable statistics.
