Doha: The Arab-Euro Youth Forum for the Alliance of Civilizations yesterday concluded with a number of recommendations on areas of alliance and dialogue among civilisations, the role of sports in spreading understanding and rapprochement among civilisations, supporting tourism and cultural rapprochement and human rights and gender equality.
The participants made recommendations stating: 'We, the youth participating in the Arab-Euro Youth Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, held in Doha from 22-27 November, recommend that in the field of coexistence between cultures and civilisations, dialogue of cultures and civilisations should be included in regular educational curricula. As well importance of giving special attention to informal education and supporting its role in education, intercultural dialogue, human rights and gender equality.
They also recommended promotion of youth tourism programs and guidance to discover the local cultural specificities and direct communication with the population and openness to other cultures.
