Kuwaiti actors hails Heritage Week in Sharjah

SHARJAH, UAE, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- A number of Kuwaiti actors praised Kuwait Heritage Week in Sharjah, officially inaugurated earlier on Monday.
Participants in the event, included renowned Kuwaiti actors Saad Al-Faraj and Mohammad Al-Mansour, as well as singer Mustapha Ahmad who all were guest of honors in the Heritage Week, part of the Global Heritage Weeks organized by Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH).
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Faraj said that such cultural initiative would enable visitors to know different cultures from around the world.
"Kuwaiti art, particularly the one that shed light on heritage and events prior to the discovery of oil, was well known in the Arab world, especially in UAE," Al-Faraj said.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Mansour said these gatherings highlight Kuwait's popular and cultural heritage, affirming on Sharjah's honoring of Kuwaiti actors and artists in many occasions.
For his part, Ahmad praised the artistic galleries in the event, noting on the exceptional singing shows.
UAE and Kuwait singing heritage were brilliant, and was unique in terms of melodies, using old folk musical instruments. (pickup previous) smr.mb
