DOHA: The medical convoy sent by the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) to Sudan in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation have performed 178 eye cataract procedures and examined more than 2,000 patients in the northern Kordofan state of western Sudan.
The patients and their families were satisfied with the service provided and expressed their thanks to the State of Qatar, QRCS and its partners in Sudan for their efforts. Ending its mission on November 1a7, the convoy is providing its services in the eye hospital in El Obeid and is accepting patients from neighbouring towns.
The convoy aims to examine and treat 4,000 patients and undergo 500 eye cataract procedures.
