(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Sandan Industrial Park will host the largest exhibition of Iranian products in the county thanks to an agreement signed on Sunday. Sandan and Oman-based Durat al Sahil signed the agreement to rent 40 commercial and industrial spaces, in addition to a number of showrooms, warehouses and apartments in the industrial park.
The agreement was signed in the presence of H E Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi, Iran's Ambassador to Oman.
The agreement will allow Iranian construction companies to supply goods in Oman giving them an opportunity develop trade with the country.
The presence of Iran's specialised companies in the construction sector of Oman, given the geographical position of the sultanate, can provide a good opportunity for trade with African countries as well as Yemen, stated Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the official news agency of Iran. The park will also have a street named after Iran.
The industrial park is being constructed over a 250,000sq m area, 5km away from the Ma'abela exit in Muscat Expressway, and include house building materials shops, workshops and residential units for workers.
The park will host 2,300 workshops and showrooms for building materials and the automotive sector, 450 offices and 1,400 residential units for workers.
