Saudi Arabia rejects claims on Hajj bar against Palestinians

(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's envoy rejected rumors claiming that the Kingdom has prohibited Palestinians from participating in Hajj.

The Israeli and British reports are false, as stressed Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Osama bin Mohammed Abdullah Al Shuaib.

Speaking to press in Jakarta, the ambassador affirmed that "the reports are wrong and cannot be trusted. It was made by Israel and the U.K. sides."

Al Shuaib further argued: "it is illogical that 1 million Palestinians performed Hajj pilgrimage. With its 7 million population, it can only accept around 7,000 pilgrims."
