Pakistan- Governor KP asks universities to justify budgets


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman has said that all universities must justify their budget before presenting in the senate meeting for approval. The budget of the universities would not be approved before financial audit and justification.

He issued these directives while chairing 3rd senate meeting of the Women University Swabi at Governor House, said a handout issued here Monday.

He directed that in every fiscal year the budget must be prepared and presented by mid of May in the senate meeting for approval. The approval of the budget would not be granted to those universities who would not get their prior financial audit done, he warned.

Governor said that faculty members of all universities should also work for character building of students besides their professional obligations.

He further said that any illegal and against the merit recruitment would not be tolerated at any cast, adding.

On this occasion the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak briefed the senate about the academic and administrative affairs of the university. In a briefing, she told that constructing work on the main campus is in full swing and near to completion. Later the senate gave approval to the current fiscal year budget for the University.

The Senate meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary to Governor Nizam-ud-Din, Secretary Higher Education Department Manzoor Ahmad, Vice Chancellor Women University Swabi Prof. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak and others.
