Participants in the Global Future Council on Space Technologies indicated that in the next decade, the space community will re-explore the Moon's surface, which will include colonies of people. They also predicted that Mars will be colonized within the next 20 years.

The Global Future Council on Space Technologies highlighted the benefits of discoveries on the Moon and Mars, the exploitation of the valuable extra-terrestrial resources and how to best leverage these resources by updating surveillance data produced by various space agencies worldwide.

Members of the Council reviewed the expected changes in space technology and the space sectors that would contribute to future exploration beyond the Earth's borders. They also stressed the need to enhance cooperation between government space agencies and leading private sector institutions in order to develop a new global governance framework for cooperation between the two sectors, to enact regulations for space exploration and provide world countries with valuable data.

Participants also underlined the importance of space data in everyday life, and how to use this data in the service of the environment, energy and other sectors. They called for developing new global future governance frameworks and establishing various criteria to ensure space sustainability, as well as to identify communities' needs for satellites to explore the outer space.

The Council highlighted the significant role of science and discovery in the space sector and their impact on daily life. They called for identifying space technologies, which clearly impact communities, in terms of facilitating communication between community members and access to Internet around the world, as well as providing information on climate change.
