HODEIDAH, 5th November, 2018 (WAM) -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has sent a relief convoy to people of liberated areas alongside Yemen's Red Sea Coast, as part of its ongoing humanitarian campaign to achieve food security and alleviate their suffering as a result of the hostile acts by the Iran-backed Al Houthi militias.

The convoy included 5,000 food baskets and basic commodities benefiting 35,000 Yemeni citizens, including more than 25,000 children and 5,000 women.

The move is part of UAE's humanitarian efforts to relief the underprivileged Yemenis, after the liberation of large areas in the Red Sea Coast from the grip of Houthis.
