Juncker visits Tunisia Thurs. to boost partnership


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker is to pay a state-visit to Tunisia on Thursday with the aim to build a partnership with an important partner, his spokesman Margaritis Schinas told a news conference Monday.
During his two-day visit, the head of the EU's executive body will meet Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi and Prime Minister Youssef Chahed to discuss bilateral relations and developments in the North African country.
The visit aims at "building a partnership with an important partner where lots of reforms are underway," said Schinas, adding that further details will be released on the eve of his visit. (end) nk.hb
