(MENAFN) Albania was announced to have begun its first trial flight of its national airline company, which is a joint venture with Turkish Airlines.
The launch ceremony has been joined by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Turkish envoy to Tirana Murat Ahmet Yoruk and Albanian ministers besides officials from Turkish Airlines.
The Albanian prime minister described Air Albania as a strategic and long-standing institution of which receives the backing of Turkish Airlines, an undisputed global actor in the airline industry.
The prime minister added "we could not be here without the initiative and generous support of [Turkish] President [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan."
